Handcrafted Portraits of Your Loved Ones I'm Paul Merrils, and for more than 50 years, I was in the sign business. Now that I'm retired, I have turned my artistic skills into a cottage industry, painting portaits much like my father used to paint. My portraiture allows me to enjoy the people I meet in a different way. My paintings are based on photographs supplied by my customers, which sets me apart from most artists, who will not do this type of painting due to the complexity and loss of seeing their subjects face to face. By basing my portraits on photographs, I save on travel costs and time, and I pass those savings along to customers like you. Loved ones, pets, and even pictures of homes are reproduced with exacting care. I search through the photos until I am certain I have reproduced my subject faithfully. Artists who have seen my paintings have expressed their appreciation for their value. And I'm confident that you, too, will be 100 percent satisfied. Whether you're looking for an anniversary or birthday gift, or if you just want to surprise a loved one, call me today for the perfect gift that will be remembered for many years to come. To enhance my abilities, I have taken art classes from many instructors. Among them are Greg Biolchini and Janet McGrath, both from Florida, and Ales Pachner and Richard Koeneman, both from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here's what people saying about my portraits:"Paul Merrills was one of my most talented students. His main interest was always in portrait, drawing of the human face. He did many studies over and over until he was completely satisfied - a very hard worker. I wished to have all students like him." - Ales Pancner "Paul Merrills uses great skill and precision to bring his work beyond realism, which results in an exact reproduction with a unique artistic touch. In forty years of teaching portraiture, I have found Paul to be my most successful student in selling his portraits. This says a great deal about his customer satisfaction, reasonable prices, and high quality of his work." - Richard Koeneman I support and am a member of the Pastel Society of America and the Adams County Art Guild. to learn more about my work, please contact me. |
